DHS Registered Nurses

Thirty years ago DHS Health Care Service began as a Nursing Staffing Agency. DHS has evolved through the changing times to offer many other services and continue to provide Nurses in client’s homes, retirement homes, nursing homes, hospitals and workplaces. DHS Registered Nurses are highly qualified and compassionate.

In a home setting, Registered Nurses teach patients and their families how to manage their illnesses or injuries, explain post-treatment home care needs; diet, nutrition, and exercise programs; and self-administration of medication. Registered Nurses are often used as follow-up care after discharge from a hospital or from a rehabilitation, long-term care, or skilled nursing facility.

We will work in collaboration with the client, caregivers and other support systems. We strive to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of the client and caregivers in their preferred environment.

DHS Health Care Service is able to provide Palliative Care through our specially trained Palliative Care Team, enabling us to ease the burden of this difficult time.

Our Registered Nurses (R.N.) and Registered Practical Nurses (R.P.N.) are currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
