Companion Service

DHS Health Service Companion Service assists clients who require minimal assistance and safety supervision in their own home. Companions provide support and socialization for clients in their own home and may assist with making light meals and light tidying. Companions provide assistance to a variety of clients: those returning home from hospital that are unsure if they can safely manage on their own, clients with Alzheimer’s Disease whose families want to ensure they take their medications and do not leave the stove on; or any client requiring minimal assistance and support in their own home. Companion Service is offered for 24-hour care.
